ATTENTION - High School Seniors!
Ever thought of spending your senior year training to be a firefighter...Now you can!
Saginaw County has a Fire Academy just for High School Seniors. You and other Seniors in the program will attend an actual Fire Academy. By attending the High School Fire Academy you receive the following:
- 12 Delta College Credits
- Firefighter Certification in the State of Michigan
- An experience unlike any other all at NO COST to you
After completion of the High School Fire Academy, when you graduate with your High School diploma you will be eligible for immediate hire once you turn 18 years of age.
Newly hired career firefighters average $43,000 in earnings their first year!
