Building Authority

The Township Board is authorized to appoint an authority to acquire, furnish, equip, own, improve, enlarge, operate, and maintain a building or buildings, automobile parking lots, or structures, recreational facilities, stadiums and any other properties and facilities used for any legitimate public purpose.  

The Building Authority can enter into contracts to acquire property, improve it with buildings and structures and lease it to the incorporating unit for a period of up to 50 years.  It may issue revenue bonds funded by rental monies.
